🏆 SmartNPK® AI: recognized globally for digital innovation in NPK fertilizer formulation at the WFF 2024
This year’s event, held at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in Rome and organized by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), was themed “Good food for all, today and tomorrow.” The edition celebrated initiatives that are actively transforming the agrifood chain and driving global-impact innovation. Although the award had no specific sector categories, the evaluation committee recognized SmartNPK® AI in the international competition WFF Startup Innovation Awards 2024, highlighting it as one of the most innovative startups in agtech and crop nutrition. The event was also sponsored by ADM (Archer Daniels Midland Company), one of the world’s largest agro-industrial multinationals headquartered in the United States.
The award process followed a hybrid format, with qualifiers and semifinals held virtually through live pitch sessions among startups from various countries. The grand final and the recognition ceremony took place in person at FAO headquarters in Rome, during the World Food Forum 2024.
The evaluation committee highlighted SmartNPK® AI as the first AI-based fertilizer formulation solution offering unparalleled precision in nutrient composition, optimizing inputs, reducing waste, and increasing profitability in agricultural production. With proprietary technology that combines advanced science and digital innovation, the platform transforms crop nutrition and drives sustainability and efficiency on a global scale.
In an official statement, SmartNPK® declared: "It is an honor to be part of this select group of startups shaping the future of smart agriculture.
